UEH Agribusiness programme
1. An overview
The Agribusiness programme provides students with comprehensive global knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to succeed in the increasingly complex agricultural and food sectors, which are confronted with challenges such as climate change and international competition. The curriculum offers a solid foundation in economic analysis, law, political science, and global issues pertinent to agriculture, alongside specialized expertise in agribusiness management, marketing, supply chain management, agricultural market research, procurement and export management, as well as finance and investment in agriculture. Additionally, students are trained to develop essential skills in research, critical thinking, problem-solving, effective communication, teamwork, adaptability, time management, technology, and foreign languages. The programme also emphasizes the cultivation of independence, integrity, a strong sense of responsibility towards sustainable development, and the capacity for lifelong learning. Furthermore, the curriculum incorporates several shared courses with the UEH School of Business, providing students with the opportunity to pursue an integrated dual degree in International Business or Logistics and Supply Chain Management within a four-year timeframe. Upon graduation, students are well-prepared to pursue careers in business, marketing, supply chain, procurement, project management, investment, or import-export sectors within agribusiness firms, multinational corporations, logistics companies, or government agencies related to agriculture.
